TENTATIVELY RESCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 3

3/13/15 UPDATE: Due to insufficient enrollment, the PNWD Addictions Ministry Project Conference scheduled for March 14 has been cancelled. It has been tentatively rescheduled for October 3. Updates will be posted in the news and on the PNWD calendar.

Twelve-step programs have a shared language of love that helps sustain community even when troubled by one another’s behavior. In this workshop, Languages of Love: Healing and Recovery, we will explore how we can use languages of love – from twelve-step and other recovery models – to meet the challenges of addiction and mental illness in our congregations, while staying true to our UU values. Breakout groups will provide tools for using a language of love in challenging situations including Companionship Training, Having Difficult Conversations, and Ministry to Youth.

See the workshop link for the day’s schedule, email registration information, and payment instructions.

The workshop, presented by the PNWD Addictions Ministry Project, will be held at Olympia UU Congregation on Saturday, March 14, 9 AM-4 PM. [TENTATIVELY RESCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 3.]
