The Resource Development Office of the UUA would like to hear from Unitarian Universalists who identify as People of Color about their faith development needs. The staff seeks input from people of all ages, with varying experiences of Unitarian Universalism. You need not be a member of a congregation to share your thoughts.

Two on-line meetings are scheduled to engage the conversation directly:

Tuesday, August 21 at 7:30 pm Central Standard Time
Sunday, August 26 at 3:00 pm Central Standard Time

You can join these meetings via web conference or simply on the phone. To sign up, email jyork@uua.org by August 15, 2012 with your name, contact information (city, state, phone) and which meeting day/ time you prefer. Additional information will be emailed to you.

In particular the Resource Development staff wonders

    • Would you be interested in lifespan religious education material for UUs of Color, created by UUs of Color? Not anti-racism resources, but resources that speak to the Unitarian Universalist experience from a perspective of People of Color?
    • Would you like to gather, virtually or in person, with other UUs of Color?
    • Have you taken part in previous gatherings? What was that experience like?

Convener Jessica York is a black religious educator in the Resource Development Office of the Ministries and Faith Development staff group of the UUA. She is part of a team creating resources to help Unitarian Universalism become a more welcoming multicultural community.
