Online Engagement

The Pacific Western Region (PWR) webinar schedule has been posted and registration is open. Check out the offerings, register and pay (only $20 per connection), then gather a team to participate. The first webinar (Youth Ministry 3.0: Being Present in an Age of Disconnect) is scheduled for October 27. The next two on the horizon are Generosity in All Things: Actions for Daily Congregational Life (November 2) and Stewarding Beloved Community Beyond Your Walls (November 16.) Register early, webinars that have low enrollment 48 hours in advance of the webinar’s start may be cancelled.

Free Tech Assistance

Don’t forget Technology Grant money is available! The deadline for your congregation to apply for this easy money is November 2. Read the PDF overview to learn more and apply online. If the application link embedded in the PDF does not work, apply here after reading the overview. Funds for Tech Grants are provided by the PNWD Chalice Lighters.

Chalice Lighter Grants

Speaking of Chalice Lighters, perhaps you noticed you did not receive a letter for the 2015 Fall Call. That’s because NOT ONE congregation submitted a grant proposal. If your congregation would like to submit a proposal to be considered for the Winter Call, please submit it by the first week of November. Proposals to be considered for the Spring Call must be submitted by early February. Details can be found on the PNWD Chalice Lighter Program page.

2016 District Assembly

Save the Date! The PNWD 2016 District Assembly will be a one-day event, held at University Unitarian Church in Seattle, on Saturday, March 5. As details become available, we will post them on the PNWD District Assembly page.

PNUUGF

Did you catch the recent article in the PNWD News about the Pacific Northwest UU Growth Foundation? PNUUGF offers loans and grants to congregations in the Pacific Northwest District and British Columbia. Traditionally they make loans for building acquisitions, expansions, or upgrades; they also help fund development and education of ministers and interns. If you’d like to learn more, see the PNUUGF website or contact president Stan Jewett.
