Diane Brinson, District Administrator, introduces new district staff and updates resources available through the PNWD office, in the current front page article at www.pnwd.org. Diane is a full-time PNWD employee, and Janine Larsen (District Executive) is a full-time UUA staffer who serves the Pacific Northwest District. Tandi Rogers is also employed full-time by the UUA; she will serve the Pacific Northwest District half-time this year, and will serve as the UUA’s Growth Strategies Specialist half-time this year, too. (Tandi will let you know more about the UUA’s new Office of Growth Strategies in an upcoming Front Page article!) Our other PNWD staffers serve in very part-time positions to support program and administrative services for member congregations in the UUA Pacific Northwest.
The biggest change to long-time shared resources is in the discontinuance of the Dorothy Spoerl Resource Library, through which congregations could borrow lifespan religious education curricula and other materials. The availability of updated faith development resources through the UUA website has made a paper-based lending library less useful for religious educators and other congregational leaders.
The District Office will continue to maintain other shared resources, such as the Supply Preaching Directory and a “Standing on the Side of Love” banner which can be borrowed for parades and display. Other shared resources will be announced from time to time.
