Tuesday, Nov 27:
Transgender Identity and Inclusion
This interactive, informative webinar will offer a crash course in transgender identity and provide practical and concrete ways that you and your congregation can be more mindful and supportive of people of all identities and ways of expressing gender. Bring your questions and your curiosity and prepare to leave behind everything you thought you knew about gender!

Tuesday, Dec 18: Queer and Transgender Youth Ministry
As bullying, homelessness, and suicide rates for transgender, queer, gay, lesbian, and bisexual youth skyrocket, support from liberal religious communities can be the difference between life and death. This webinar will bring together a panel of leaders from UU congregations making a difference for queer and trans youth—from sponsoring regular social gatherings to starting a staffed resource center. Hear their stories, find out about the ministry they are providing, and ask questions about how your congregation can get involved in this vital issue.

Attendance by congregational teams may be counted toward UUA recognition as a Welcoming Congregation or official renewal of Welcoming Congregation status.

Webinar presenter Alex Kapitan, is a transgender and queer-identified lifelong Unitarian Universalist with proud Midwestern roots. As the UUA’s LGBTQ and Multicultural Programs Administrator in the office of LGBTQ Ministries, Alex manages the Welcoming Congregation Program and works to assist UU congregations and leaders in increasing their welcome and inclusion of all people.

Online registration for each webinar is $15 per connection. You are encouraged to participate in a webinar with your congregational team by sharing just one paid registration connection. You may do this via a large computer, tv screen, or a projected screen. The audio is via the phone so a  conference call phone works well for groups. For more information about group viewing see these hints. For questions, email the Pacific Western Region Training Coordinator Lori Ragona at lragona@uua.org.
