The Unitarian Universalists of Grants Pass, Oregon will be the recipient of the winter Chalice Lighter call. This dynamic fellowship has recently moved into a facility on a major thoroughfare, across from the county courthouse. They finally have adequate space for worship, RE and other church activities. A grant of $19,795 would allow them to furnish and properly equip their space and provide outreach — including a wayside pulpit.

The generous Chalice Lighters in our district could make this possible. The fall Chalice Lighter call resulted in a grant of over $15,000 for the Umpqua UU Church in Roseburg, Oregon.

This winter call will be open for contributions through March 4. Donations received after March 4 will go into the Chalice Lighters Undesignated Fund. You may make your contribution online at our PNWD Payment Page, or you may mail your check to: Chalice Lighters, PNWD-UUA, 12700 SE 32nd St., #E-101, Bellevue, WA 98005-4317.

The Chalice Lighter Program assists the growth of new and existing congregations in the Pacific Northwest District by providing grants funded exclusively through the generosity of our Chalice Lighter donors. Chalice Lighters pledge to give at least $15 to each of (no more than) three calls per year. If you would like to join ranks with over 2,000 PNWD Chalice Lighters, click here.
