John Dorian, member of the Community UU Church Social Justice Committee in Pasco, WA, tells us that while CUUC was borrowing the district’s Standing on the Side of Love banner during April, they organized a public rally with the Tri-Cities Interfaith Alliance. Approximately twenty participants represented Unitarian Universalists, Sikhs, United Church of Christ, and the Tri-Cities Islamic Center. John said the rally was met with many waves and shouts of support, much honking of horns, and an article in the Tri-City Herald.

Tarlok Singh Hundal, a Sikh participant in the rally, said in the article, “It’s for the right cause to be on the side of love.” To the right is a photo from the rally, published with the article in the Tri-City Herald.

If your congregation would like to borrow the PNWD’s Standing on the Side of Love banner to display on a building, march in a parade, or hoist during a rally, Pascocontact pnwd@uua.org.
